You must be licenced to skipper any power boat or jetski.

In SA there is one licence for boats and jetskis but there are a few subtle differences relating to driver and passenger safety. It is important to approach this knowing the rules.
NB: Ability to read or write English is not required in our course.
A skipper's licence & responsibility as well as boat registration.

Boat ramp activities and how to approach them.
Emergencies how to avoid them and what you must do by law.
Why the River Murray can be very dangerous water.
Dangers in the sea and near beaches.
Markers & buoys, navigation channels & rivers.
Practical assessment is not required by the SA Government but many of our past students have found it an invaluable way to start their boating journey.
When you pass, we will issue you a "Certificate of Competency" which qualifies you to obtain a full boat licence from Service SA.
PS Operating any boat without a licence can attract a fine of up to $5,000.
